Mayer Building Company completed this total renovation for Summersgill CPA in historic Covington, Louisiana during December 2016. The project, designed by Metro Studio, included wholesale replacement of tired interior and exterior finishes, reconfiguration of the layout to suit the needs of Summersgill, a new kitchenette, two new restrooms, a built-out loft space, contemporary lighting, and restoration of antique floors. In May 2016, Mayer Building Company completed exterior repairs and a new paint job for the French Quarter Realty building on the corner of Esplanade and Rampart. Just in time for the new streetcar line, this project was completed on a very tight budget and very quick schedule. In Spring 2016, Mayer Building Company completed a historic rehabilitation for the Jackson & Jackson Law Firm on Baronne Street. At the time of our work the building had suffered some foundation and sub-foundation failures. The result of the failure included severely cracked load-bearing masonry walls, roof leaks, and all around finishes and millwork damage. Mayer Building Company shored the old brick building and restored its facade and interiors back to its former glory and austerity.

Mayer Building Company completed a small tenant build-out for the Suzanne Perron dress design studio.We installed a new door and frame, section of clean ceiling, new lights and a bit of trim carpentry. The paintworks were done in an accelerated pace. We fabricated some major custom shelving and racks for the gown making business. Besides the shelving and racks, the “white box” space did not need much for Suzanne to take this space and put it to good work.

At the end of the summer 2015, Mayer Building Company completed an office expansion and overall office finishes update for the New Orleans office of Pond & Company. Located in the Rault Building, Pond, a top ENR engineering firm, required local expansion. Mayer Building Company integrated neighboring offices in the Metairie tower to include a new glass conference room, two new executive offices, a sharp new reception and entry foyer, a break room, a server closet, and a new work/ supply space. At the same time, Mayer Building Company renovated many of the finishes in the older (existing) space with minimal interruption to Pond’s occupancy.

During December of 2014, Mayer Building Company completed the full restoration and code updates to 1000 North Broad Street in on the border of the Treme and Esplanade Ridge neighborhoods. This building is now our headquarters. It also houses two commercial tenants. The work included storefront and facade restoration, new security, fire alarm, IT, and MEP systems. We salvaged old floors and the mid-century bathroom tiles. We installed new lights and new finishes inside and out. We dressed the facade with louvered Bahama shutters and a roof deck with custom iron rails.

Mayer Building Company completed in April 2013 an overhaul of a portion of the Pontchartrain Orthopedics and Sports Medicine clinic in Metairie. The work, which was performed while the clinic was in operation was phased. Phase 1 included the renovation of the “Cast Room,” an addition of a new storage room, a new billing office and conference room. Each of these rooms was decorated in the contemporary mode with monochromatic paints and millwork, a matching base and resilient floor.
Phase 2 included expanding the Physical Therapy Room to a more open arrangement with new clean, modern ceiling tiles and grid, matching a durable, but attractive carpet tile and building four new exam rooms, a new ADA bathroom and updating the main reception and the staff”s break room.

This interior renovation included replacing an aged unused gallery space at 713 Royal Street, with a new polished office and sales space for the Vieux Carre’s premier real estate house.
