La23 BBQ

In November 2016, Mayer Building Company completed the re-invention of La23 BBQ. We rebuilt and installed a commercial kitchen in LA23’s existing facilty; we raised the ceiling and added decks and rough & ready rails about the exterior; we re-clad the whole building in galvanized sheet metal. We installed a new foundation for this building and a new metal canopy replete with rustic lights and fans. Our gleaming work was delivered with minor punchlist, but it’s the owners’ work that shines in this project. The amazing reviews online don’t do justice to the incredible barbecue that the gentlemen owners serve up on a daily basis. On day one, LA23 continued its pre-renovation practice of selling out before closing with out a word of published marketing. Follow the smoke tower to La23 BBQ in Belle Chasse and you will be glad you did. Architect: Brooks Graham, Graham Little Studio. Photos: Beth Hall.
