Watches of Switzerland

In Summer 2023, MBC completed the three-in-one watch boutique for Watches of Switzerland. The project included robust anti-theft and structural assemblies to accommodate three luxury watches brans: Breitling, Grand Seiko & Tag Heuer. Custom storefronts, branded finishes and elegant light installations made this high-end retail project a success.

Premium hair care center and blow dry bar drybar hired Mayer Building Company to complete New Orleans’ first and one and only drybar. Together, MBC and drybar worked through a few unforeseen conditions and completed a bespoke Blow Outs only haven at 6101 Magazine Street. The salon (is that right, drybar?) includes new MEP infrastructure, custom millwork, elevated finishes and wall coverings and a contemporary, fun feel.  We are thrilled for the businesswoman owner and her staff and wish all the success to them! Lush

While underway on building out the Lush Cosmetics on Magazine Street, Mayer Building Company started and finished the Lush Cosmetics on Royal Street in the French Quarter. The project consisted of new masonry, MEP systems, new branded finishes and even a few historic features associated with the connected carriage house and courtyard. Delivered prior to the Christmas shopping season in 2015, Mayer completed this project with a very minor punch-list and satisfied client

Pilot & Powell

In October 2016, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed the interior and exterior improvements for Pilot & Powell, a new high-end, luxury fashion boutique at 3901 Magazine Street. The project, designed by Logan Killen Interiors, included a glass storefront facade retrofit, new unique finishes and fixtures throughout, custom racks and a custom Point-of-Sale desk, a newly appointed back-of-house bathroom and office and artfully designed fitting rooms. Sunday Shop

In November 2016, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed renovations for Sunday Shop. In an underused, dilapidated two-story building at 2025 Magazine Street, Logan Killen Interiors created, “Sunday Shop…a carefully curated lifestyle shop led by a team of approachable and knowledgeable interior designers.” A few more words from the Sunday Shop website tells the further story: “For years, the designers & owners of Logan Killen Interiors have dreamt about opening a store in the city of New Orleans that would house all of their favorite things….Katie Logan Leblanc and Jensen Killen are passionate about good design and how it improves our daily lives, from the perfect paint color to the candle that makes it feel like home. Sunday Shop is a direct extension of LKI – bringing you some of the best in furniture, textiles, fine lighting, and art.” Congratulations to Katie & Jensen and thanks for the work. Ollie's Bargain Outlet

In January 2021, MBC delivered Ollie’s Bargain Outlet’s newest build out in Harvey. Louisiana at Woodmere Square Shopping Center. Once home to a Schwegmann’s, the space Mayer Building Company renovated consisted of two demised spaces combined, with commensurate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, fire alarm, electrical and finish upgrades. We converted the loading dock, build out some offices, repaired the existing bathrooms and created a simple, clean break room. Thanks to CM and Landlord for support!

Renovation completed by Mayer Building Company for the store Joseph in New Orleans, LA

Joseph

Before Carnival season 2017, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed Joseph at 5500 Magazine Street. The project consisted of converting a worn mercantile space into a chic, contemporary luxury retail store called Joseph. “Today’s Joseph stores in Memphis and New Orleans are among the top four or five retail operations in the U.S., outside of the Neiman Marcus group and Saks, in sales of designer shoes and handbags, as well as jewelry, apparel and cosmetics.” – JosephStores.com The work included updating the “back of house.” the sales floors, adding a new high-end cash wrap, and polishing up the exterior just a bit.

Remodeling project done by Mayer Building Company for Pied Nu boutique

Pied Nu

Mayer Building Company, LLC completed a very fast renovation of the Magazine Street boutique, Pied Nu, during August 2017. Our main tasks included constructing terraced sales floor space, new dressing rooms and a re-imagining of the dress area. Other work included new poured floors, restoration of existing floors, paint, ceilings, light fixtures, and plumbing fixtures. The work was prosecuted in a fast pace manner, and punch list completed in a manner of days.
