In January 2021, MBC delivered Ollie’s Bargain Outlet’s newest build out in Harvey. Louisiana at Woodmere Square Shopping Center. Once home to a Schwegmann’s, the space Mayer Building Company renovated consisted of two demised spaces combined, with commensurate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, fire alarm, electrical and finish upgrades. We converted the loading dock, build out some offices, repaired the existing bathrooms and created a simple, clean break room. Thanks to CM and Landlord for support!
In October 2016, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed the interior and exterior improvements for Pilot & Powell, a new high-end, luxury fashion boutique at 3901 Magazine Street. The project, designed by Logan Killen Interiors, included a glass storefront facade retrofit, new unique finishes and fixtures throughout, custom racks and a custom Point-of-Sale desk, a newly appointed back-of-house bathroom and office and artfully designed fitting rooms. In November 2016, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed renovations for Sunday Shop. In an underused, dilapidated two-story building at 2025 Magazine Street, Logan Killen Interiors created, “Sunday Shop…a carefully curated lifestyle shop led by a team of approachable and knowledgeable interior designers.” A few more words from the Sunday Shop website tells the further story: “For years, the designers & owners of Logan Killen Interiors have dreamt about opening a store in the city of New Orleans that would house all of their favorite things….Katie Logan Leblanc and Jensen Killen are passionate about good design and how it improves our daily lives, from the perfect paint color to the candle that makes it feel like home. While underway on building out the Lush Cosmetics on Magazine Street, Mayer Building Company started and finished the Lush Cosmetics on Royal Street in the French Quarter. The project consisted of new masonry, MEP systems, new branded finishes and even a few historic features associated with the connected carriage house and courtyard. Delivered prior to the Christmas shopping season in 2015, Mayer completed this project with a very minor punch-list and satisfied client
During the summer of 2018, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed this retail build out at The Shops at Canal Place. G Star Raw is a luxury denim brand with a focus on fine craftsmanship and urban appeal, opens this September and will concentrate on men’s apparel, adding new fashion-forward options for male shoppers. This project consisted of interior improvements for the G Star to achieve the look of the burgeoning brand. G Star hired Mayer Building Company, LLC to install all new mechanical systems, new electrical systems, and fire alarm, meticulously designed branded finishes to achieve the G Star experience. Prior to commencing the work, Mayer Building Company, LLC participated in crafting a quick-turn-around budget. Actual construction was performed in accordance with architectural oversight in order to meet the client’s goals. The project was delivered with very minimal punch list.
Mayer Building Company, LLC completed the first phase of interior improvements and repairs for Belladonna Day Spa. The work included a new reception area, renovated men’s and women’s locker rooms, a new clinical area, a re-dressed tea garden with stone face fountain and brick ramp. We are looking forward to further work on this campus.
In November 2017, Mayer Building Company, LLC eradicated the rot and moisture intrusion issues plaguing the Belladonna Retail Store. We renovated the finishes and fixtures of the retail area, the cash wrap and the nail salon area. The new owner knew this multi-faceted facility needed a make-over so it could keep selling make-overs. Mayer Building Company, LLC got it done with minimal business interruption.
Before Carnival season 2017, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed Joseph at 5500 Magazine Street. The project consisted of converting a worn mercantile space into a chic, contemporary luxury retail store called Joseph. “Today’s Joseph stores in Memphis and New Orleans are among the top four or five retail operations in the U.S., outside of the Neiman Marcus group and Saks, in sales of designer shoes and handbags, as well as jewelry, apparel and cosmetics.” – JosephStores.com The work included updating the “back of house.” the sales floors, adding a new high-end cash wrap, and polishing up the exterior just a bit.
Mayer Building Company, LLC completed a very fast renovation of the Magazine Street boutique, Pied Nu, during August 2017. Our main tasks included constructing terraced sales floor space, new dressing rooms and a re-imagining of the dress area. Other work included new poured floors, restoration of existing floors, paint, ceilings, light fixtures, and plumbing fixtures. The work was prosecuted in a fast pace manner, and punch list completed in a manner of days.
Mayer Building Company, LLC is pleased to announce the May 2016 successful completion of the structural and high-end interior construction for New Orleans’ first Cycle Bar. This project consisted of interior and structural improvements for the Cycle Bar and some base building improvements for the building owner performed concurrently. The Cycle Bar hired Mayer Building Company, LLC to install all new underground and above ground mechanical systems, new electrical systems and fire alarm, meticulously designed sound attenuation systems and of course the branded finishes to achieve the Cycle Bar experience. Prior to commencing the work, Mayer Building Company, LLC participated in crafting the value-engineered budget. Actual construction was performed in accordance with third-party and bank auditing in order to meet the client’s goals. The project was delivered on time with very minimal punch list.
