  • Priority Health Care

    In February 2023, Mayer Building Company completed a total renovation of an 8,000 square foot commercial space, transforming it into Priority Health Care, a new clinic located in Gretna on the West Bank. Thanks to Garrity & Accardo Architects and the dedicated subcontractors who delivered this project on time, along with the owner and MBC Superintendent Andy Haggerty, this old building has been successfully rehabilitated into a modern healthcare facility.

  • Alon Medical - Metairie

    Alon Medical Technology distributes Arthrex orthopedic and orthobiologic products to surgeons throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Their commitment to excellent customer service and providing educational opportunities through state-of-the-art training labs and customized events shaped this Design-Build project from pre-construction to completion. Mayer Building Company completed the full renovation of Alon Medical's Baton Rouge headquarters in the summer of 2023.

  • Pontchartrain Orthopedics

    Mayer Building Company successfully completed a new facility for Pontchartrain Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in St. Charles Parish on time and under budget. This project involved both interior and exterior improvements, converting a dilapidated masonry building into a contemporary and stylish doctor's office. Notable features include a new façade with an arched canopy reflecting the nearby Hale Boggs Bridge, dramatic millwork, inviting interior spaces, and a new X-ray center. Before starting the work, Mayer Building Company actively participated in crafting a value-engineered budget.

  • Stalder Plastic Surgery

    Mayer Building Company undertook a comprehensive gut renovation of a historic property in Uptown New Orleans to establish the new location for Stalder Plastic Surgery. Designed by MZ Architecture, this project involved complete interior and exterior rehabilitation of a century-old structure, merging modern medical functionality with timeless architectural character. The renovation complied with the guidelines of the Historic Tax Credit program, necessitating careful attention to preservation standards while upgrading the building for clinical use. Our team managed every aspect of construction—from selective demolition and structural reinforcement to high-end finishes and medical-grade systems—ensuring the space met both historic compliance and the specialized needs of a cosmetic surgery practice. The result is a refined, efficient, and welcoming environment that honors the building’s history while facilitating its contemporary use.

  • Spectrum Neurology Elevator

    Mayer Building Company was engaged to modernize and enhance the Spectrum Neurology Center in Metairie, Louisiana, through a targeted renovation and accessibility upgrade. In close coordination with Pell Architecture, the project involved constructing a new elevator shaft and mechanical room, as well as redesigning the primary building entrance. The scope of work entailed extensive selective demolition to accommodate the new elevator system, along with a concrete foundation system to support the vertical shaft through both floors of the building. We also added a new storefront entry system, a prefabricated canopy, and an accessible exterior ramp—bringing the building up to ADA compliance while refreshing its façade. This focused infrastructure improvement increased accessibility, safety, and functionality for the existing medical facility, all while minimizing disruption to adjacent operations and maintaining continuity for patients and staff.

  • MHSD

    Mayer Building Company completed a strategic renovation of the Metropolitan Human Services District clinic on General DeGaulle Drive, delivering essential upgrades to support MHSD’s mission on the West Bank. The project involved the construction of private billing and consultation rooms with enhanced sound attenuation, upgraded insulation, and glass doors with matching transoms—designed to ensure patient privacy while creating a welcoming clinical environment. Additional improvements included the installation of new pharmacy and security stations as well as custom millwork that aligned with MHSD’s established brand standards. All work was performed overnight while the clinic remained fully operational during the day, requiring meticulous planning and execution to maintain a safe, clean, and disruption-free environment for both staff and patients.

  • LSU Heath Sciences Center - Restrooms

    In Summer of 2024, Mayer Building Company relocated and built a four story stack of new restrooms for LSU Health Sciences Center in downtown New Orleans The work was performed during working operations of the LSU Health Center and completed as scheduled. The new work in the Lion's Eye Building, is not only aesthetically pleasing but the durable materials are built to last (very important in commercial restroom facilities).In the summer of 2024, Mayer Building Company relocated and constructed a four-story stack of new restrooms for the LSU Health Sciences Center in downtown New Orleans. The project was executed during the ongoing operations of the LSU Health Center and was completed on schedule. The new restrooms in the Lion's Eye Building are not only aesthetically pleasing but also made with durable materials, which is essential for commercial restroom facilities.

  • Alon Medical - Baton Rouge

    In the summer of 2023, Mayer Building Company transformed an abandoned second-hand furniture shop on Perkins Road into the new Baton Rouge headquarters for Alon Medical Technology. Alon Medical distributes Arthrex orthopedic and orthobiologic products to surgeons throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Their commitment to excellent customer service and providing educational opportunities through state-of-the-art training labs and customized events greatly influenced the design-build project from pre-construction to completion.

  • Atlas Psychiatry

    During the summer of 2022, Mayer Building Company completed a major renovation, addition, and restoration of the property located at 3646 Magazine Street for Atlas Psychiatry. The project involved a full interior historic renovation, the addition of a camelback, the installation of a partial sprinkler system, and many custom fixtures and fittings. We wish Dr. Pejic and the team at Atlas the best of luck with their significant expansion and the new, clean clinic!

  • Rowan

    Rowan is an ear-piercing studio focused on wellness, with piercings performed exclusively by licensed nurses. We created a space on Magazine Street that aligns perfectly with their Shine Manifesto. This New York-based company and its ethos fit seamlessly in New Orleans. We are pleased to have assisted them in their place-making efforts with Mayer Building Company.

  • Drybar

    In 2023, Mayer Building Company transformed an outdated eatery into a vibrant Drybar salon. We created a serene atmosphere equipped with branded, custom fixtures to support the Drybar services. This project involved extensive plumbing work, successfully integrating a contemporary service-based business into an old New Orleans building while preserving its character.

  • Bridge House

    In 2023, Mayer Building Company renovated the intake and patient exam areas of Bridge House, New Orleans' leading outreach institute for at-risk individuals. Bridge House is a remarkable client with an essential mission for the New Orleans community. We are proud to play a small role in their improvement efforts.

  • Capsule

    Capsule, a New York City-based pharmacy disruptor, contracted us to build out its flagship location on Tulane Avenue in New Orleans. We completed the finishes and fixtures improvement project quickly, utilizing our reliable subcontractors. The work was executed without any accidents and with only minor change orders.

  • Eye South Partners / Eye Care Associates

    After Hurricane Ida caused significant damage to the roof of this major medical complex at Clearview, Mayer Building Company worked diligently to restore the facility as quickly as possible. The project encompassed major system repairs and the restoration of new finishes throughout the building. This included the Looking Glass optometry retail area, the eye surgery center, doctors' offices, patient rooms, administration areas, and bathrooms.

  • MHSD

    In July 2018, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed a significant overhaul of the Metropolitan Human Services Division flagship clinic at 2221 Philip Street in Central City. We added private billing and consultation rooms with sound attenuation considerations, insulation, and glass doors and transoms. We added new security, pharmacy and work stations of custom millwork matching the MHSD brand. The scope of work was done AT NIGHT while the clinic OPERATED throughout the renovations during the day. Work was performed by Mayer Building Company in a clean, safe, fast manner. NO change orders except for one minor unforeseen demolition item. In July 2018, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed a significant overhaul of the Metropolitan Human Services Division flagship clinic located at 2221 Philip Street in Central City. We added private billing and consultation rooms with sound attenuation features, insulation, and glass doors with transoms. Additionally, we updated the security system and created custom millwork workstations that align with the MHSD brand. Notably, this work was carried out at night.
