  • Priority Health Care

    In February of 2023, Mayer Building Company delivered this total renovation of an 8000 square foot commercial space into Priority Health Care, a new clinic in Gretna on the West Bank. Thanks to Garrity & Accardo Architects, the subcontractors who delivered this project on time, the owner and MBC Superintendent Andy Haggerty on the successful rehabilitation old building into a great new space.

  • Alon Medical - Metairie

    Alon Medical Technology distributes Arthrex orthopedic and orthobiologic products to surgeons throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Alon’s goals of excellent customer service and educational opportunities via thier state-of-the-art training labs and customized educational events helped shaped this Design-Build project from pre-construction to completion. Mayer Building Company completed the full renovation work of the Baton Rouge Headquarters in the summer of 2023.

  • Pontchartrain Orthopedics

    Mayer Building Company completed a new Pontchartrain Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in St. Charles Parish on time and under budget. This project consisted of interior and exterior improvements by converting a dilapidated masonry building into a contemporary, stylish, but understated new doctor’s office. Some notable features include a new façade with arched canopy meant to reflect the nearby arch of the Hale Boggs Bridge, dramatic millwork, comfortable and inviting interior rooms and a new X-ray center. Prior to commencing the work, Mayer Building Company participated in crafting the value- engineered budget.

  • Stalder Plastic Surgery

    Mayer Building Company completed a full gut-renovation of this historic Uptown New Orleans property to create the new home of Stalder Plastic Surgery. Designed by MZ Architecture, the project involved the complete interior and exterior rehabilitation of a century-old structure, blending modern medical functionality with timeless architectural character.

    The renovation was executed under the guidelines of the Historic Tax Credit program, requiring careful attention to preservation standards while upgrading the building for clinical use. Our team managed all aspects of construction—from selective demolition and structural reinforcement to high-end finishes and medical-grade systems—ensuring the space met both historic compliance and the specialized needs of a cosmetic surgery practice.

    The result is a refined, efficient, and welcoming environment that honors the building’s past while supporting its contemporary use.

  • Spectrum Neurology Elevator

    Mayer Building Company was engaged to modernize and enhance the Spectrum Neurology Center in Metairie, Louisiana, through a focused renovation and accessibility upgrade. Working in close coordination with Pell Architecture, the project included the construction of a new elevator shaft and mechanical room as well as the redesign of the primary building entrance.

    The scope of work involved extensive selective demolition to accommodate the new elevator system and a concrete foundation system to support the vertical shaft through both floors of the building. A new storefront entry system, prefabricated canopy, and accessible exterior ramp were also added—bringing the building up to ADA compliance while refreshing its façade.

    This targeted infrastructure improvement brought greater accessibility, safety, and functionality to an existing medical facility—all while minimizing disruption to adjacent operations and preserving continuity for patients and staff.

  • MHSD

    Mayer Building Company completed a strategic renovation of the Metropolitan Human Services District clinic on General DeGaulle Drive, delivering critical upgrades to support MHSD’s mission on the West Bank.

    The project included the construction of private billing and consultation rooms with enhanced sound attenuation, upgraded insulation, and glass doors with matching transoms—designed to support patient privacy while maintaining a welcoming clinical environment. Additional improvements included the installation of new pharmacy and security stations, as well as custom millwork that aligned with MHSD’s established brand standards.

    All work was performed overnight while the clinic remained fully operational during the day, requiring meticulous planning and execution to maintain a safe, clean, and disruption-free environment for staff and patients.

  • LSU Heath Sciences Center - Restrooms

    In Summer of 2024, Mayer Building Company relocated and built a four story stack of new restrooms for LSU Health Sciences Center in downtown New Orleans The work was performed during working operations of the LSU Health Center and completed as scheduled. The new work in the Lion's Eye Building, is not only aesthetically pleasing but the durable materials are built to last (very important in commercial restroom facilities).

  • Alon Medical - Baton Rouge

    Mayer Building Company converted an abondoned second-furniture shop on Perkins Road into the tight new the Baton Rouge Headquarters in the summer of 2023.   • Atlas Psychiatry

    During the summer of 2022, MBC turned over a major renovation, addition and restoration of 3646 Magazine Street for Atlas Psychiatry. The work included full interior historic renovation, a camelback, a partial sprinkler system, and many bespoke fixtures and fittings. Good luck to Dr. Pejic and Atlas with this significant physical expansion and clean new clinic!.

  • Rowan

    Rowan is an ear piercing studio company focusing on wellness, piercing only by licensed nurses. We built out a space on Magazine Street that fits their Shine Manifesto perfectly. The New York company and their ethos is well placed in New Orleans. We are glad they accomplished their place-making with Mayer Building Company

  • Drybar

    Mayer Building Company completed this Drybar in 2023. We changed a tired old mediocre eatery into the self-affirming salon, calming atmosphere replate with branded, custom appurtenances to create a whole space for the Drybar salon services. Heavy on the plumbing, this project included the oeuvre of placing a contemporary service based business in an old New Orleans and maintaining the feel of both. building

  • Bridge House

    In 2023, Mayer Building Company renovated the intake and patient exam areas of Bridge House, New Orleans' premier at risk outreach institute. Bridge House is a fantastic client with a fantastic mission, essential to the New Orleans community. We are proud to be a small part of their improvements effort.

  • Capsule

    New York City-based pharmacy disrupter contracted with us when it wanted to build out its flagship in New Orleans on Tulane Avenue. We completed the finishes and fixtures improvement project quickly with our base of loyal subcontractors with no accidents and only small change orders. Here’s what Capsule said:

  • Eye South Partners / Eye Care Associates

    After Hurricane Ida destroyed the roof of this major medical complex at Clearview, Mayer Building Company worked to restore the vast facility as fast as possible. The work included most major systems and restoration of new finishes throughout. The project included restoration of Looking Glass, the optometry retail area, the eye surgery center, the doctors offices, patient rooms, administration areas and bathrooms.

  • MHSD

    In July 2018, Mayer Building Company, LLC completed a significant overhaul of the Metropolitan Human Services Division flagship clinic at 2221 Philip Street in Central City. We added private billing and consultation rooms with sound attenuation considerations, insulation, and glass doors and transoms. We added new security, pharmacy and work stations of custom millwork matching the MHSD brand. The scope of work was done AT NIGHT while the clinic OPERATED throughout the renovations during the day. Work was performed by Mayer Building Company in a clean, safe, fast manner. NO change orders except for one minor unforeseen demolition item.
