    Mayer Building Company was selected to perform essential electrical infrastructure upgrades at Copart’s facility in New Orleans East. This project ensured reliable backup power by installing a 600A double-throw manual transfer switch with camlocks. Key tasks included rerouting the Entergy utility service, coordinating shutdowns, and implementing custom blocking, caulking, and structural support for the new system. Despite a 30-week lead time on critical equipment, Mayer worked closely with the client and electrical subcontractor to execute the project with safety and efficiency at the forefront. Through proactive cost management and transparent communication, we successfully returned unused project funds to the owner at the closeout, providing operational readiness and measurable value. As a result, a clean and well-integrated generator connection was created, ensuring that Copart's operations can continue seamlessly when most needed.

    At Associated Terminals' headquarters in Convent, Louisiana, Mayer Building Company was entrusted with delivering a series of interior improvements to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The scope of work included kitchen upgrades and interior finish renovations. This involved new conduit runs and power connections for ranges and hoods, the installation of owner-provided equipment, exhaust ductwork through the exterior wall, and detailed brick patching. Additional enhancements included selective demolition of non-load-bearing walls, ceiling and flooring repairs, painting, wall base installation, and adjustments to fire alarms and electrical systems. Our work was executed with great care to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout. These upgrades reflect our commitment to high-quality craftsmanship in active commercial environments.

  • Mygrant Glass/ Rathborne Properties

    Mayer Building Company was engaged to complete the warehouse and office build-out for Mygrant Glass at 6200 Humphreys Street in Harahan, Louisiana. This 51,500-square-foot tenant improvement project encompassed over 49,000 square feet of S-1 warehouse space and approximately 2,300 square feet of conditioned office and support areas. The office build-out features private offices, a break room, accessible restrooms, and dedicated IT and janitorial spaces—each designed for functionality and flow. The adjoining warehouse was upgraded with new lighting, electrical infrastructure, and layout modifications to meet Mygrant Glass’s operational needs. Improvements also included ADA-compliant site access, re-striped parking, a wheelchair lift, and refined landscaping to enhance curb appeal post-construction. This project showcases Mayer Building Company's ability to deliver tailored, high-performance commercial spaces that blend industrial efficiency with modern office comfort.

    Mayer Building Company partnered with Copart to complete essential roofing improvements at the Copart Auto Storage Facility, located at 14600 Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans. This expansive, high-security facility supports Copart’s regional operations and serves as a central hub for vehicle storage, logistics, and online auctions. The site spans several acres and houses thousands of vehicles in a well-organized layout, demonstrating the scale and efficiency of Copart’s infrastructure. Mayer Building Company provided labor, materials, and site supervision for thermal and moisture-proofing upgrades to key structures on-site.     Mayer Building Company partnered with the Port of South Louisiana to undertake a significant renovation and build-out of their industrial warehouse facility. Designed with long-term functionality and operational efficiency in mind, the project included comprehensive upgrades to architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The scope of work encompassed both interior and exterior improvements, such as heavy slab repairs, enhanced loading and logistics zones, and code-compliant safety enhancements. Our team collaborated closely with stakeholders to adhere to strict timelines and budget goals while minimizing disruptions to operations.   • Otis Elevator

    Mayer Building Company completed a comprehensive tenant improvement build-out for Otis Elevator Company’s regional office and warehouse in Metairie, Louisiana. The 5,916-square-foot space was strategically reconfigured to meet both administrative and operational needs, combining over 3,900 square feet of warehouse space with nearly 2,000 square feet of modern office environments. The project involved interior demolition, the construction of full-height fire-rated partitions, ADA-compliant restroom facilities, and a secure, climate-controlled telecommunications room. The office areas feature open workspace layouts, private offices, a breakroom with custom cabinetry and appliances, and upgraded finishes throughout, including acoustical tile ceilings, new carpet tiles, and accent walls. In the warehouse, Mayer Building Company installed secure chain-link storage areas, an eyewash station, carbon monoxide detectors for propane forklift use, and a fully automated overhead door system. The facility's HVAC and electrical systems were rebalanced and upgraded to meet Otis's corporate standards and code requirements.

    Peters Road Warehouse/ Rathborne Properties

    Mayer Building Company was selected to lead a comprehensive renovation of an existing two-story office and warehouse space at 1311 Peters Road in Harvey, LA, on behalf of Rathborne Properties. In coordination with Garrity + Accardo Architects, our team executed selective demolition of existing stair structures, walls, doors, and second-floor framing to reconfigure the space for improved accessibility and modern functionality. The scope of work included constructing wood stairs and rails, making ADA-compliant upgrades, installing new gypsum board assemblies, interior painting, and extensive installation of doors, frames, and hardware. Electrical upgrades were also made throughout to support the revised layouts. Despite the logistical challenges of working within an active industrial building, Mayer delivered the project efficiently, integrating both structural and aesthetic upgrades to meet the client’s evolving needs. The result is a safer, more navigable space that combines clean design with durable, long-lasting construction solutions.

  • Port of South La - Smokestack Reduction

    Mayer Building Company was chosen by the Port of South Louisiana to perform the partial demolition of a 205-foot concrete and brick smokestack located at one of their key facilities in LaPlace, Louisiana. This highly technical and sensitive project required strategic planning, careful coordination, and the highest level of safety oversight.
