New Shower from Stock Parts

Mayer Building Company bid a quick shower improvement project for an out-of-state client who keeps a condominium in the Marigny. It seems the plastic shower unit was leaking to the neighbor’s condo below. We priced a couple of fixes for the problem with one of them being replacing the plastic unit with ceramic tiles after the plumbing was corrected. Our client decided to go with ceramics instead of a new “pop-in” shower.

Once MBC booked the work, we prepared to present ceramic selections to the owner. Before long, we remembered that we had 65sf of brushed ceramic 12x12s, 20sf of 4×4 stone tiles, two bags of adhesive and some ready mix concrete in storage. The two tiles matched well and we installed them. We delivered a great looking greenish shower and saved the client some green of his own.
