Rental Property Renovation

Mayer Building Company performed a three week renovation of a 1920s shotgun double on renown street Grand Route St. John this summer. The deadlines were short; the days were long, but here is a list of the renovation items complete in the three week period.

Full interior paint job
Pocket door restorations (x2)
Fabricated, hung, and installed hardware on 5 reclaimed 5-panel doors
Milled, installed, and varnished thresholds (x4) and vanity trim from salvaged heart pine
Installed and varnished shoe molding
Install kitchen baseboards and shoe molding
Troubleshot and installed new reclaimed door hardware (x7)
Framed and clad mechanical equipment enclosure
Kitchen cabinet modifications
Removed and replaced fireplace tile
Removed and replaced stone floor in kitchen with new porcelain
Fabricated and installed travertine hallway tile
Prepped and painted front porch floorboards and rails
Furnished and install new white gutters and downspouts system
Fabricated and installed custom front facade gutter and scupper
Fabricated, installed and painted new alley security gate and hardware
Custom wood cladding on walls in laundry closet
New window treatments
Refurbished existing claw foot tubs
Furnished and installed plumbing risers for shower enclosures at tubs
New stainless kitchen appliances
New laundry centers
Replumbed dishwasher hook up
Replaced several breakers with new arc-fault breakers
Furnished and installed three new light fixtures
Rewired faulty ceiling fans
Final cleaning (market ready)
Landscaping (garden, yard, pavers, mulching and tree-trimming)
